Squirtle is finally here and the gen. I starters are complete! I am pretty pleased with how this one turned out especially considering Squirtle is my personal favorite of the three.
Much to my surprise, I was able to complete the 3D model faster than the other two. Which I guess means I am actually getting the hang it haha. That being said I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t get the swirl of the tail to work though. Whenever I tried to create it though my computer would simply seize up. so I eventually had to abandon my attempts. Either I just wasn’t doing it right or my computer just can’t handle it at the moment.
It’s a good thing I managed to save some time on that stage though as this model did take a lot longer to put together. Mostly due to the intricacy of some sections, mainly the shell border/trim. In order for it to look right and have the proper shape it needs more part which means a longer build time.
Now that these models are done I am not entirely sure what I want to do next. I have a few ideas but I haven’t quite decided on which one to pursue yet. I still have some time to decide though as, at the time of writing this, I have yet to finish the low-poly Squirtle model. Hopefully by then I will have decided what to work on next.
